I have known Rinchen for four years.  He is a very pure and excellent young monk from Bhutan.  He has been at Schechen monastery in Kathmandu, Nepal since 1995 and has taken full monastic ordination vows.  He is currently at the Schechen shedra where he has distinguished himself as an outstanding young scholar and is expected to be a fine Khenpo upon graduation.  He is currently in year 5 of a 7 year program.  He was also recently selected to be one of Rabjam Rinpoche's secretaries (Rabjam Rinpoche is the grandson of Dilgo Kyentse and the guardian of Tulku Dilgo Kyentse).

At the monastery, only his food, room and marginal health care given to him.  (There are 300 monks to sustain at Schechen).  He must rely on donations to buy texts and basic necessities.

Funds can be sent to him via western union. A tleast $20 is reccomended monthly. (I give Lekpey $50 monthly.) One time donations are also appreciated.
