The Baltimore Sangha is a center in Baltimore for the study and practice of Tibetan Buddhism. Our intention is to provide authentic Tibetan Buddhist meditation within a respectful environment that will inspire all attendees to quickly advance in their practice.
Every Sunday at 11 AM we hold meditation at Susquehanna Yoga & Meditation Center, 12-A Aylesbury Road, Timonium, 21093, phone: 410.308.9950. Practitioners of all levels are welcome. Practice sessions start with opening prayers followed by a short meditation session. Instructions how to do the practice will be given before the meditation.
Most Sundays from 5 to 6:30 PM we hold a Tibetan Buddhist Meditation Workshop for beginners and advanced practitioners at Breathe Books, 810 W. 36th Street, Hampden The Avenue, Baltimore, 21211. There will be no meditation on June 14 or on July 19 thru August 2

On Sunday July 1 from 11 AM to 1 PM at Breathe Books in Second Wind (above the bookstore) Amchi Thubten Tsering will give the first lecture in a series on Tibetan Medicine. The first lecture will be a review of the history and programs of Tibetan medicine with an explanation of the three principle qualities of the body and mind and with a brief discussion of the healthy and unhealthy body and diagnosis and treatment. There is a $30 requested donation. After the lecture Amchi Thubten Tsering will schedule forty five minute appointments for treatment. The charge for the appointment and medicines is $125. On August 14 through 16 Yogi Lama Gursam will be in Baltimore area for teachings. His schedule will be announced soon.
The Bodhicitta Foundation Prayer Book can now downloaded from Lama Gursam's website. It's laid out in booklet style in pdf format and comes in two files, the TBF prayer book (1.1 MB) and the prayer book cover (88 KB), which can be printed on heavier stock.

Thursday, July 16: The Knowledge of Healing
Unlike Western medicine, based on biochemistry, Tibetan medical thinking
(which is strongly rooted in Buddhist principles) views the human body
as governed by an elaborately organized system of energies flowing
through a network of channels, In the 12th century, the Gyushi
(Knowledge of Healing) was created, a text codifying this intricate
system. Discussions before and after the film. This film is presented
as an introduction to Tibetan Doctor Amchi Thupten Tsering's Lecture #1
on Sunday July 19 at Breathe Books.
Other Centers
Two Rinpoches will be teaching in Alexandria VA in July. Ngawang Jigdral Rinpoche will be returning to Alexandria to complete the Bardo Teaching begun last year over the two consecutive weekends of July 4th and 5th, and July 11th and July 12th. Since Ngawang Jigdral Rinpoche's teacher, His Eminence Rigzin Dorjee Rinpoche is currently in the United States (California), Ngawang Jigdral Rinpoche has requested His Eminence to come to Alexandria to give the Bardo Empowerment as well as the Guru Rinpoche Empowerment during the weekend of July 18th and 19th.
